Today President Barack Obama was sworn in as president of the United States of America. It's a milestone in that he is the first African American to be elected as president. I personally think that it shouldn't be that big a deal. People seem to be treating this as if it's the biggest deal ever. I think back to what the thoughts of Abraham Lincoln when he said that "all men are created equal". There shouldn't be any distinction between a black man or a white man. I don't want to detract from the acomplishments of Obama but he still has a lot to prove. He is taking over after a president that most people hated and in an economy that is in the toilet. To say that he has a tough job ahead of him is a bit of an understatement.

When Obama was being sworn in, he screwed up his oath. I hope that isn't a sign of things to come.
