Educating Our Youth

The other day, I was reminiscing about the old days when I lived in San Jose and used to go to church at St. George. I remember all the kids that I used to pick on and how they are all grown up now. I remember in the days before we actually had a church and used to pray at the Antiochian church on Saturdays. We would almost always head over to the Ishak’s house afterward because they lived around the corner. They had a basketball hoop in their driveway and I remember Andrew Ishak always trying to challenge me to some one on one. At the time, I was about 18 years old and Andrew was probably about 10. I must have been at least a foot taller and 50 lbs heavier than him. I would back him down and pretty much beat the crap out of him and the funny thing is he would ask for more. Now if I played one on one with Andrew, he would probably certainly destroy me. It’s good to see the "tradition" lives on as you can see in this video that Andrew made of him doing exactly the same thing to another young guy from our church. Way to keep those kids in line Andrew. Keep up the good work!
