Everyone knows at least one of these people. They are the people that every time they see you and you strike up a conversation, they tell you the same story they always tell you. I know someone just like this at my office. He's a super nice guy but he always talks to me about his 2 puppies that he adopted. I have heard him tell me the stories about his puppies misbehaving so many times that I can tell them as if they were my own. Every time he tells me about them, I get tempted to tell him that he already told me this story but I don't want to seem rude. Instead I act as if I never heard him talk about it and pretend to be interested. Not only does he go on and on about his puppies but I don't care about it. I didn't care the first time he told me about it and I care even less about it the 20th time that he tells me about it.
